As your student body representative, I would like to welcome all new and returning students. It is an honor and a privilege to represent you at Haywood Community College. As a fellow student, allow me to congratulate new students on their decisions to further their education and commend returning students on their perseverance. You will not regret your hard work. It is the desire of the school and your SGA to meet the needs of all students. We strive to make your
time spent here a successful, fun and all around great learning experience. I encourage all students to take full advantage of the unique resources and assets provided by HCC.

Our campus is uniquely equipped to assist you in your educational pursuits. HCC offers a diverse curriculum, a friendly staff, and a professional faculty, dedicated to helping you succeed. In addition, the campus facilities are located on a beautiful 83-acre wooded campus complete with state-of-the-art instructional equipment, a learning resource center, and our nationally-recognized Regional High Technology Center.

I strongly encourage students to not only strive academically but also to become involved in the school’s many extra curricular activities - whether it be the SGA, or any of the many clubs offered on campus. These clubs make a difference on campus, in the community, and perhaps most importantly in the student’s lives. After all, there are things that can not be taught in a classroom.
